This watch is a combination of Seiko’s 7B72 solar radio-controlled quartz movement, a green dial, a sapphire crystal, 100-meter water resistance, and a relatively compact 39.5 mm stainless-steel case.
Its Features
The SBTM319 measures 39.5 mm wide, 9.5 mm thick, and 46.1 mm from lug to lug.
Its 20 mm lug width gives it fairly standard proportions, while its thin case allows it to sit comfortably under your shirt cuff.
It weighs approximately 115 grams, so it is not a classic ultralight watch due to the stainless steel used.
The stainless steel case has a sapphire crystal with its Super-Clear coating.
The dark green dial, which can also appear black in some environments is one of its unique characteristics.

It also has manual reception and time-zone adjustment functions.
The solar system eliminates battery replacement, and when it’s fully charged, it can work for up to 9 months.
Interestingly, it has a power-saving function that can extend the battery life to almost two years under some specified conditions.
The watch also incorporates overcharge protection and automatic hand-position correction.
Its radio system supports radio signals from Japan, the US, UK, China and Germany, and the United Kingdom, while reception quality depends on your location and conditions.
Sapphire, Water Resistance and the Bracelet
The sapphire crystal coating is one of its strongest hardware features. Sapphire is considerably more scratch-resistant than the mineral crystals used on many watches in this general price category.
Seiko adds a Super-Clear coating to improve readability by reducing reflections.
The watch is rated to 100 meters (10 bar) of water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and everyday water exposure when the watch is properly maintained.
However, it’s important to distinguish water resistance from a guarantee against water damage under every circumstance.
Where the Watch Falls Short
The watch, case and movement look classy for everyday use, but the bracelet doesn’t look premium, or perhaps, it’s not.
The lume is not particularly strong, and the dark green dial often looks too dark when it is not in bright light.
Is the SBTM319 Worth it?
Absolutely. The SBTM319 is accurate and requires low-maintenance quartz timekeeping.
Its 39.5 mm case, 9.5 mm thickness, 100-meter water resistance, sapphire crystal, solar charging, perpetual calendar and radio correction make it practically good for everyday use.
Also, for a men’s wrist watch with these features and costs around $300, it’s worth the price.
