How to Clean Cheer Shoes and Make it Smell Better

What are Cheer Shoes?

Cheer shoes, also called cheerleading shoes are sports footwear designed for cheerleaders.

Cheerleaders are spectators and fans of a team participating in sports activity. The spectators put on cheer shoes, lightweight, breathable and flexible, and different from regular sneakers and shoes.

If you don’t have the time to wash your shoes manually, you can put them in a washer, and on a delicate cycle, add the recommended bleach in the appropriate ratio with water according to the shoe manufacturer.

How to clean cheer shoes with Toothpaste, Baking soda, and Vinegar?

First, you can get rid of loose dirt from your cheer shoes by cleaning them down with a soft-bristled brush.

Then, mix a small amount of mild detergent such as Dawn dish soap, baking soda, or/and vinegar, and a small volume of warm water in a bowl until it becomes a thick paste.

Dip a soft-bristled brush or a white cloth into the thick paste and gently scrub your cheer shoes to make them white again.

Leave the baking soda mix on the shoes for a few minutes, and rinse thoroughly with clean water or using a clean cloth dampened with water.

Use a clean cloth to gently pat the shoes dry, removing as much moisture as possible.

Stuff the shoes with crumpled paper or a clean, dry towel to help them maintain their shape as they dry.

Allow the shoes to air dry completely, away from direct heat sources such as heaters or sunlight.

You can also use a magic eraser or bleach pen on your cheer shoes after washing them to make them clean and look brighter.
